The message of the movie is the importance of maintaining a child-like wonderment and zest for life, love, and our connection to the world and to society. Amidst the harshness, divisive fear and cynicism of our present day, it's refreshing and comforting to take a break, recapture my young heart, and watch "The Wonderful World of the Brothers Grimm". That's what fairy and folk tales originally were for-- teaching moral and ethical social behavior to the next generation. I remember going to see this movie in Cinerama the original aspect ratio, the side panels were a bit wobbly but I still enjoyed the film. It is in wide screen and has the original English dub. If you consider that the old Cinerama travelogues have all been restored, admittedly on a shoestring, and How the West was Won got a superb multi million dollar Blu-ray transfer, why oh why is this one so neglected.
